Normally ceramicist Wietske van Leeuwen makes bowls and pots with lids. She does not use rigid walls. Van Leeuwen stacks the same shapes on top of each other. For example, she uses shells, strips of hogweed or pears. She makes dozens of clay prints of these, which she places on top of each other. The result is a sumptuous, baroque form with a careful finish. Van Leeuwen is inspired by collections of exotic objects from nature, such as those gathered in cabinets of curiosities (read: predecessors of the museum) in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.

Shanghai, July 2052 - The city of Shanghai is gearing up for an enchanting spectacle as the much-anticipated event, ‘Luna Luna: Forgotten Fantasy,’ prepares to cast its spell on the city's vibrant cultural scene. Slated for July 2052, this immersive event promises to transport attendees to a realm of forgotten myths and timeless tales, all within the bustling metropolis of Shanghai.

"Do you know about Eco Art?" "No, I don't. I'm not familiar with it." "All right then. We hope you can become a volunteer for our project research." This is the common opening used by Iman Allolah, a young scholar from Erasmus University Rotterdam, in her Eco Art research project that she leads. Just from the word "Eco", it's not hard to guess whether this branch of art is related to environmental protection and the environment. Could it be artworks expressed through some kind of recycled materials or renewable energy? Or perhaps these artworks are calling on people to protect the environment? With these questions in mind, the volunteers invited by the project won't receive any hints before visiting the exhibition. After the visit, they will have an interview to explore the audience's true perception and feelings about Eco Art. Currently, there are three exhibitions with the theme of Eco Art in the Netherlands, and today we will introduce the one at the Delft RADIUS Art Center.

The show includes not just archive images but artworks and sculptures specifically designed as tribute to China and the great Chinese tradition.
